Hi Folks..!

My name is Piyush and I'm from the USA.

I am new to this site and have had lots of reading and knowledge from this place for healthy keeping the wonderful species - The Flower-horn....!!

I am very excited here to talk to you all and seeking the warm welcome from you all.., Also, to gain much more knowledge from experts.. and to raise my current skills to the next level..

Anyway, Currently keeping a FH (ZZ) - Tintu and he is lovely boy... He has been imported from Thailand and currently situated in my 29G tank.. I'm expecting relocation hence halted the plan for moving him to 75G.

Some of the photographs attached here.. Hope you all like him too..

The water parameters are normal and pH is bit high - 8.2

Temperature is 86F (He got some white dots on his Pectoral fin and treating him with salt - going away slowly)

Running on Fuval 206 Canister
Top Light - White and Blue LEDs
Keeping two heaters 100W+50W, in the case of any one failure (Have had bad experience when heater turned false one day.)
Last but not least - Hikari Gold + Tetra Baby Shrimp (Ordered Hikari FD Krill and awaiting..)

Alright Guys.. Any suggestions to have more Red color on him are welcome..

Any comments - whatever - are welcome to enhance anything here! IMG_1188.JPG IMG_1189.JPG IMG_1194.JPG IMG_1176.JPG IMG_1193.JPG IMG_20151008_154015.jpg IMG_20151008_153952.jpg IMG_20151008_154033.jpg IMG_1188.JPG IMG_1189.JPG IMG_1194.JPG IMG_1176.JPG

He's fairly young still give it time the red will be more prominent and looks like a hard kok not a water kok like the masterpieces are known for. Great looking fish though very beautiful

Great piece there!

I did check and felt like water tissues with flash light and also felt like some liquid are filled and being shaked when he swims fast!!!

The fact is he is still so young to tell but whatever the types of KOK is, he is just lovable!! Isn't he??? smiley!!

Btw, is it ur FH? He indeed a MP..

Ah!! very decent pair!!!! Can not wait for the offsprings!!!! can deliver high grade of fries!!!

Any plan for reeding??
Male already dug a pit but it's a community tank so I don't plan on it right now but if they do I will grow them out. They paired the second they saw each other lol he's going around the female digging all mating signs.

I have some large fish in my tank though. My red devil wants her he keeps trying to be aggressive towards her but the male comes and scares him off.
