Hi! Im new to posting on the forum but Ive read a lot of threads on here, and Ive been on several other forums, so hopefully I know how this works
I have a 75 gallon tank holding a single male Carpintis. He is about 6" long, and very vibrant and healthy. I have over 1000 GPH of filtration plus heaters and I do 50% WC bi-weekly. Its overkill for the tank but its good to stay on schedule.
So in short: i would like other fish to keep with him, if possible. Im not against a wet-pet but I do like the gracefullness (or glass-banging-ness) i find in a small group if Cichlids, once theyve established a pecking order.
This particular fish has lived with others begore, but he has also killed... He is usually ok with any fish once they get settled in.
So far all ive liked has been an Albino Oscar at the LFS. But i know they are very messy, from previous experience Do you think its possible for the aggression levels to match up decently? Or do you have any other suggestions? Looking more for Cichlid tankmates, not really dithers.
