Silver Arowana and 125 gal tank?

Oddball what oddball fish would you suggest for a 125 gallon, already occupied with a tire track eel, and pleco.

If it were me and I was looking for an unusual mid to top water swimmer for a 125, I'd opt for one of the Paretroplus species. These are moderately active species that resemble marine tangs.

They do resemble marine tangs, I didn't know some of them had bright colors they look awesome.

Whatever the size tank, I would always go Channa, but yeah, U.S. don't like my plans.

I can think of a few Crenicicla species that would work, those are pretty fun fishes with a lot of character that you don't see everywhere.

It's hard to find fishes for a volume I'm not used to, I would say an Erythrinus Erythrinus as you mentioned wolves, that one would definitely fit the tank size, though I can't vouch for your Eel's well being long term. My Ery Ery tried to chew up on a Gymnothorax, killed it, and decided he didn't want to eat it. So he got exiled to his species tank until I free up the 180g where I'll attempt comming him again.

You could also go the Exodon Paradoxus route, but be prepared to rehouse the eel. Watching a big shoal of Exodons is pretty amazing, and if the shoal size is good enough (might take a few months with a student's budget), you shouldn't have too much losses.

I would do the knife some silver dollars, butterfly fish and a pair of nandus nebulous leaf fish, maybe nandus nandus if you can't find nebulous, maybe what oddball suggested Aswell if they stay small enough?
Sounds like a cool tank, your eel could eventually outgrow your tank btw!-)

Yea and to chime in on the wolves, if you get a common or any other readily available hoplias species, you're going to eventually need to upgrade, you'll have a lot of time like a couple years but eventually you'll need to upgrade to a wider tank, if you get erythrinus species they'll be fine for life, and golds should be fine for life as well but might be pushing it.
