Help sex my new JD?

I got a baby Jack Dempsey cichlid awhile ago. Can you help me figure out what gender it is? I'm not planning on breeding it I just like to name my fish. Lol

Females will have a tons of coloring, like a patch, on their cheeks. Males won't. And they become dimorphic pretty young.
This one is really dark so it's a little hard to tell but I'm gonna stick with male.

I agree, it looks male with the high amount of spotting down the sides, and lacking all of the blue patches on the face.

He's in my 55 with 3 convicts and 2 fire mouths. He will be in his own 75 when he grows up. Sorry for the late reply
