You can do above ground with concrete blocks or wood with linear inside . get water hyacinth
And some parrot feathers . you can also put a couple koi fish if you like I would also get a pleco for cleaning summer algae. If you make a nice jungle of plants in one part of the pond , you can keep some small fish in there as well so they can hide from the predator fish. And if your arowana does seem to jump a lot in the pond and you're scared it will jump out , you can buy a pond leaf net and cover it . my arowanas never have me the problem of jumping out.

Thanks, I like ur pond. Is that an Oscar? I'll definetly check out the plants. I'll probably get a net for protection from animals do I need anything else for protection from animals. Florida has lots of predators

My aro is currently in a 60 gal with angels. Should I keep the Angels in the tank if move them?

I think the net is all you need the holes are small so I don't think any snakes can go in or falcons cant grab through the net. You can basically put whatever fish you want in the pond just make sure you have good filtration. Water changes I only do once a year. I let the sun take the water out and let the rain refill it. Reason I said to make above ground is so run off water doesn't get in and mess up the water. I have 5 arowanas in my tank right now and just waiting for spring to come to place them in the pond

How should I do jt
Depends how big they are I use a plastic bag last time. And before When I had a 2ft arowana I used a ice bucket. The filter I used was from ebay. Works great and I had it for 2 years and still have no problem. Make sure you get one that is meant for a lot more gallons then your pond.

Thanks mine isn't that big so I'll probably use a plastic bag. Ever heard of drip acclimation? Also some of the Angels are pretty big should they stay in the 60 gal or go with the aro? Also so I'm thinking for the pond just my aro, a large pleco maybe and one or two koi?(don't they need colder temp?) anything else u recommend

They don't need colder temps it gets kind of boring if you just have a couple fish ... That's why I put my Oscar in there as well as my JDs , clown knife , gar, plecos just to see a variety and it's a lot funner to watch. Koi fish can survive cold water and my koi fish live in 100+ degree weather in Texas and 15°f winters. They are doing perfect and growing fast

I have a JD in my cichlid tank but I don't want it to bully my aro so I won't move it plus it's really old and I'm afraid it may die in the process it's like 8 years oldi might get a gar or clown knife buy do they work with aro mine is kinda timid also I'm definetly getting pleco.do u know anything that control mosquito like any fish eat the larvae I know koi and mosquito fish do
