You should have contacted them right away after making an initial inspection of the fish right after you recieved it.I noticed the blemishes on the tail and snout in the other photos right away.I would not be pleased to recieve a fish in such condition but it should heal pretty fast as long as the fish is in a clean tank.View attachment 1178766 View attachment 1178767 View attachment 1178768 View attachment 1178769 So I have noticed that the tail is a little messed up/ unhealthy. What can I do? Please help.
Yeah I noticed them too but was in such a hurry to get to work I didn't think a whole lot about it. But when I got home and had time to sit and watch more carefully it was very obvious that it had some problems. Possibly from being wild caught? Well I just did another smaller water change so I'll wait a few days and do another. You should have contacted them right away after making an initial inspection of the fish right after you recieved it.I noticed the blemishes on the tail and snout in the other photos right away.I would not be pleased to recieve a fish in such condition but it should heal pretty fast as long as the fish is in a clean tank.
Thanks. It's acting fine. But I wish I know exactly what was wrong with it. Ammonia burn? Okay thanks. If it becomes an issue for some reason is there anything else I can treat it with?Keep an eye out for fungus attacking the tail but with clean water it should not be an issue.
No,never been much into pirahnas. I doubt that that is ammonia burn but it could be an injury from being chased around with a fishnet in order for it to be caught and bagged or perhaps it came in that way or was fighting with a tankmate.Thanks. The fish already had that when it was in their tank. You could see it from the picture they posted. No,never been much into pirahnas. I don't know of any off the top of my head but there are plenty of fungus medications that you could look into.
