First time buyer from aquascape

Uh yes, I did see the original pictures and it looked to arrive fine. The poster even acknowledged that, it wasnt until later that the poster began to see something going on AFTER the fact.

That's the dice you roll when you have a fished shipped to you, Ive had this happen to me at times (ammonia burns) and guess what, I didnt go crying like a baby asking for a refund. I treated the fish like I would any other time.

ammonia burns does NOT = a sick fish. Its more than likely an ammonia burn that then got a secondary infection. Treat the fish and move on.


The vendor is not at fault here.

Did I ask for a refund I don't remember doing that?

Apparently not many people on here have ever heard of that. Smh. Its the waste that the fish releases while in transit.

A word of advise is if you have a shipping station close to you call them and tell them you want them to hold the package. That way you can pick the fish up first thing 8am rather then have the fish spend a few more hours in the truck to be delivered.

Like i said before that's the dice you roll when you have a fish shipped. Could happen to anyone regardless of which vendor it came from.

Ive had fish shipped to me with burns and within a few days its healed fine. If your water parameters are good and you have clean water it should heal up fine. Do small daily water changes. I dont think turning up the heat helps but if it has for others then try it.

Meds should be your last resort. Personally i would use methylene blue.

I believe vendors are much more competitive down there. I don't think vendors will give people the time of day for a video, customer service in this hobby (here) seems to get worse the longer the vendor is in the trade. Since we don't have people willing and able to compete closely with the more established names we have a bit less power on our dollar.

Yeah others have said that for sure. Right away. The water is good I've checked it more times than I can remember. But for some reason it looked like it was getting better when it shed the dead tissue and then it seemed to take a step back and I didn't change anything

Yeah it came with a gash and the tail was white. It's lip was white as well and looked like tissue was flaking off. I recently posted my first pictures again a few posts back.
