So I just put in my 4inch SRD flowerhorn in with my silver arowana which is about 3 times his size. I introduced at this size too give my arowana a chance to hold his ground . They keep to themselves but occasionally my flowerhorn will approach my arowana out of curiosity and the aro would slowly open his mouth to scare him off too the other side of the tank. I have recently noticed a scratch on the little guys kok and he is missing few scales. Luckily no pearly flowers are not that badly damaged. I have since then separated and quarantined him into a temporary 10gallon. Water parameters checked out normal with a PH of about 7.4 and routine water changes.temp at 80º Anyone else seen something similar? Hopefully this is not a deadly disease and should be have speedy recovery.
Thx for the read any help is greatly appreciated.

My FH had a similar injury when he scraped against an sharp aquarium decoration. He recovered within a week. I did not add any special medication for the recovery. From the pics i sense that the water qulaity in the tank cud be a bit better though

Thx for the reply madman! Will keep a sharp eye on any waste or extra food and hopefully he pulls thru strong. I know he is tough but surely the water could use a better netting around the bottom to help the filter out after feeding.

Keep the water around 80-81. Add an extra 5mls of API STRESS COAT and a table spoon of API freshwater aquarium salt. He will heal in 2-5 days. At this time no medication is required.
