Double 75 gallon aquarium stand for 90 gallon tanks

Hey everyone I'm trying to upgrade my double 55 gallon setup to a double 90, but I can't find any double 90 stands the biggest I'm seeing is double 75. Do you think I could use a stand ment for 2 75s for 90s? since they are the same length and width the only difference is the 90 gallon tank is 4 inches higher. I just wanna be 100% sure it can be done before I spend a lot of money for no reason.

Hmm. Remember that a 90 gallon while full probably weighs a good 1000lbs (the water is like 8lbs a gallon, then the tank itself is at least 150lbs since I moved mine with the fiance and nearly died haha, and then 100lbs of substrate and whatever else). Personally I wouldn't chance it with a stand only rated for 2 75's. I'm a renter though, if you own your place and don't mind a potential flood like it's on a concrete slab or whatever then go for it lmao.

Imo I would try to find a welding shop near you that can fabricate a nice sturdy double rack for you. Have them really reinforce it. Or design a stand that just has them next to each other instead of one on top of the other. If that makes sense.

Thanx you made some good points I'll definitely keep what you said in mind. I specifically need a stacked stand because I'm out of space in my room I have a lot of tanks already and I figured out a way that I can squeeze in 2 more but they gotta be stacked. Hopefully my parents don't flip out when they see it lol!!

Could always fit some sort of tall tank in there? Might be worth a shot to find one if you want a roomy tank.

I would think a 90 on top would be fine and then the 75 underneath. There probably isn't room for the 90 underneath

Jake, a 90g tank is 48"x18", where a 55g is 48"x12". Totally different footprints. In regards to a double 90g stand, there is one available. I own one. The Titan Eze 75/90/110 metal double tank stand. DFS sells them. I've had mine in service for 4yrs. Great no-frills stand. Outstanding value. The cool thing about this stand is, you can put a piece of 48"x18" plywood on the top or bottom shelf and put any smaller tank size you wish on it. I currently run a 75g on top and a 55g on the bottom this way.

Lol I'm replacing the 55s with 90s not getting a 55 stand and putting 90s on it haha and the titan Eze is the exact stand I was looking at. I wasn't sure if it could hold 2 90s. What size tanks do you have on it

Plenty of room for twin 75s or 90s on this stand. Top tank is quite high off the ground. A 90g up top would require something to stand on to get your arm in there.

I read a couple of reviews on this stand and ppl are saying its wobbly and wouldnt trust it to hold anything bigger then a 75, did you have any issues with it not being sturdy?

^^^this^^^ a standard 90 and 75 should have the same footprint just different height. A 90 will probably fit underneath but will be a pain to do any maintenance on
