From my experience, my males are the ones that show most of the time, and the females usually don't. I found that pic to appear to look more sharp to me like a male but it's not a clear pic. This is a tough one
I swear gts must truly be the hardest fish to sex. Lol Looking back through my pictures of my female hers has always been visible. IMG_0093.jpg
The top is her a couple months before her first time laying eggs. And the bottom is a couple weeks after I brought her home at 1 1/2 in.
Even as a baby it looks blunt if I zoom in.

Does anyone have any good shots of young males? For comparison.

Oh you're bad for making me go through my old pics. I really couldn't find any supporting evidence for either sex. None of them seem to be showing at the time of pic through about 6 or 7 GT that I have on film. But now I really miss one for sure...

Yours are very clear and blunt. My EB Acara females always showed, but not my GT. I've kept mostly males though, maybe I'm mistaking.

aztsm aztsm They really all do vary a lot don't they? Hmmm.. I want to get a male really bad, but with how difficult it is to tell gender I'm so worried I'll end up with another female.
That male is gorgeous. I consider my girl to be very beautiful, but that male puts her to shame for sure! I wish I could find a mature male to make everything easier on myself. Lol

Here's a couple pics of my male for comparison. He's maybe 4". Maybe.

No visible sex organ. Or nothing substantial.

That is a beautiful female without a doubt, is the top pic right before she laid eggs ? Bc her tube looks definitely more rounded then pointy
