Green Terror - My new growouts

Oh yeah... any body notice his anal fin? It appears dark red all the time now. I'm not sure if I've seen this before. Usually see a dark color brown/black or goldish hue.

He is one good looking GT. I can't wait to see him when he puts on more size.

I went through some pics of my guy and he has the same type of thing going on his dorsal and anal as well as tail. But Kai's is always yellow / gold looking and never red. But yours might be in breading dress so that could explain the reddish color. Either way its cool.

I am heading up to San Diego next week for my wifes and I 10 year anniversary. Going to hit the store where I bought these guys online on the way home. Will be nice to see in person and maybe I can grab some females

Photo bomb!! I named him Martin. I think the other two I purchased with him are females. It would sure appear so by appearance. I could swear the reproductive organ looks sharp though. I don't know. Any thoughts?

I've had two other females in and out of his tank. It's nice seeing the pre spawning behavior, and the nuchal he developed, but ultimately nothing was going on and they were dominating the food. So I took them out till he catches up on their size. He seems to have mellowed out a little bit which is nice. The other two go at it with each other for pecking order. They show little color and are always darker in appearance than Martin.

I also rearranged the tank a bit. Spread the wood, rocks, and plants out to breakup eye sight more which might explain Martin being less aggressive.

third image from the top where the famele is on the right in the back. this fight to me is really something special! I love the bearding and body shape combined with her perfect fins. I think its a very nice looking female.

Thanks ! She's finally reaching maturity to spawn. Her sister did a couple months ago with my big male. The sister looks just like her almost exactly except white trimmed. I want to breed Martin with her down the road and hope to get some nice white trimmed males out of it

These guys had a small spawn about 3 weeks ago. And yeah they picked the smallest rock in the tank. Doing well. I pulled fry for growouts. Everyone's growing nice and steady.
