I kinda lost interest in shark week a long time ago. Same shows, same facts, same stories every year. And now more than ever they seem to have that corny hyped up reality tv feel to them. I can't get into it.

I did scuba with some bull sharks in Bahamas once which was exciting, awesome, and terrifying all at once. That dive pretty much ruined shark week for me forever lol

Agreed on both points....well,I didn't scuba but I snorkled in fairly deep waters in the Bahamas and saw a few sharks so I've lived Shark Week lol.Besides,Sunday is a loaded tv lineup for my viewing pleasure and I can only DVR soo many shows.

I prefer snorkeling to scuba. Too much hassle with all the gear and stuff. You can get plenty close to the action if you can dive and hold your breath. Most of all the interesting stuff is 20-30 feet below the surface anyways.

Yeah I won't be skipping GoT for some shark b.s. either lol

I see where you both are coming from. Shark week just reminds me of how awesome sharks are. The alien shark episodes always fascinated me. As repetitive it may be, it's cool that there's a whole week dedicated to the ultimate monster fish.

Yeah I was a huge wicked tuna fan for awhile. It's good fish get some limelight ya know.

It's just strange there's a week dedicated to it. There's no other order-specific weeks. No gibbon week. No tapir week. There might be a big cat week...
