To to some tough decisions i am in the process of rehoming most the cats except one of jags and vulture. My kids love him. So far hes been a model citizen. Tons of activity and easy going. I know rhings can change but im happy i wasnt scared off by some of the reviews on these guys. thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter thx for your updates on your vultures.

Kids named him zip/zippy

Why are you rehoming one jag? And glad the interest level turned around for the vulture. He got big quick. What's that white belly on the left side? Wanna think it's the jur but looks like a jag

The white belly is the jag we are keeping. Since the flood fiasco im cutting down the heard. The vulture and the bigger jag will stay. I dont wanna be jagless.

Thx man. Im surprised by him. Really has been a pushover. The jur would nip at him (nothing serious) and be a bully but the vulture would always just swim away.

Nice video of the vulture. Looking great! How big is it now?

I just measured mine a few days ago and my bigger one is a little over 12”. Their growth seems to have slowed down when they got around 10”, but I also only feed them every three days or so.

How big do they get and what tank size do they need
thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter has some nearing the 2 ft mark, I believe. I think it’s more common to see them around 18” in aquariums though. I currently have mine in a 220, but I do a very large weekly water change, like 90% or more. After seeing how they act in my tank at only 12”, I would say that they are truly much better suited for a 400+ gallon aquarium. I will be rehoming mine at some point in the future.

Here are some pictures of mine. First pictures I’ve posted from my new iPhone X, so let me know what you think of the picture quality.

Too big for my tank, they are so cool tho. Are there any smaller alternatives for a 6ft 130
