EB026A8F-1949-4436-928B-B5A78886C415.jpeg Well, this was probably really a waste of effort, but I’m trying to be VERY optimistic that I fixed the leak. I just went ahead and decorated the tank with the new foam 3D background/floor and put in the gravel /sand mix, as well as some real rocks. I have more lights that are less blue that’ll go on too but moved them to get in and out for decorating. And I have lots of live plants currently in another tank I will plant as the water is filling tomorrow.

IM FILLING TOMORROW MORNING!

The foam was drylok’d, painted, and clear pond armor that’s currently dry to the touch, but letting it cure till tomorrow before I fill.

I did away with my diy canisters due to water leaking when/if power is cut and am using several fx6’s I’ve collected. I decided to put one of the pumps from the diy filter in the right corner with a curled up and tucked away hose. So it’ll be very easy to drain the last 5” of water if I ever need to fully drain again. Fingers crossed, I don’t.

If this leaks, I’m removing the glass and having a Viking funeral with the remains. Then building a new tank from scratch.

Leaked. Time for a bonfire and start over. Clearly bummed out about this. But crying about it isn’t going to stop the leak. So just weighing out if I should build another or shop for a huge used one. Unfortunately larger than 200 gallons rarely pop up for sale anywhere near me. That’s just too small.

Truly sorry to hear that :(
Yeah. Not a great day haha. But oh well. Hate to have wasted that time and money. But I’ve done dumber things. Can’t dwell on things. Just gotta move forward and figure something out! I still have my Gar and they still need a forever tank. So I’ll make something work.
