Looks male to me
Usually in these fish the females get black splotches on their dorsal fins this one lacks that. That is why my opinion is male
Not always does this happen though.

Females has a dark blotch in the dorsal

even before they are mature you can begin to see the deveoping smudge

Males don't sport the smudge, except when spawning

when spawning both parents develop fry rearing colors

males will sometimes show the dark colors when under stress,
males also develop a more steep cranial profile even when young
You can see it quite well in the male on the right compared the the female left at barely 2"

If he kept them yeah. And he was last active in January so hopefully he comes back on. That little one is cute. I know nothing about these guys so I can’t help id. But I like your terror. Is it a white saum? Or is it just the lighting?
