I am a SeaChem safe fan, cheap, lasts for ever. 26 bucks for a bottle that treats 240,000. gallons of water and ammonia and nitrite if needed is a win win. so no reason for anything else IMHO.
Yeah, when I saw the price and how little I needed per water change, I was sold. I don't even have that big of a tank (125g) but that is the price of two 500L of prime so I might as well buy it.
