I think there red isletas but not 100% sure, I don't know there history which is a must really for amphilophus spp.

I'm not normally drawn to amphs but they are very nice.
The tank looks good too from what I can see of it.
Thanks, that is the good end of the tank, the other end isn't really scaped yet, trying to find some more decent rocks. Always had a soft spot for amphilophus my old lyonsi and barred midas where some my favourite fish I have kept.
Lyonsi are super underrated

Thanks, imo lyonsi are nothing like alot of people say, keep hearing chilled out trimac, my 11 inch male was the most mental fish I ever owned,
My big 11" male was actually pretty "chill", though he was in a tank with all mean-ass fish. I had a smaller malethat got to about 7" that was definitely more aggressive. I think it varies, either way probably my favorite amph species!
Next year I have more tanks coming, lyonsi or istlanus are top candidates for the 150.
