Four line pictus (according to planetcatfish and others on this thread) do not depend on others in their species like the typical spotted pictus do. At least that is what i've been told and what i could find in my research
They do fine by themselves and get quite large, 12"+/-. Have a couple peeps in my area that own them. They a husky sum a biitchhes.... (thick).

Yeah. I'm a little nervous about this one. He's quite spastic and I don't think the bichirs appreciate him. He may end up in my 135 with my cichlids and me look for a raphael of some sort for the bichir tank

Wow! Ive never had them or done much research on them they had some at lfs and I asked about them was told treat same as other pictus cats. Glad I didnt get them as was one of the cats I was thinking about when trying to decide what cats I wanted. Thought they looked cooler then the regulars.

I definitely prefer the look over the regular pictus. We'll see how he does. He was all over the tank last night. My bichirs seemed a bit stressed and so i'm worried he may outcompete them for food. We'll see how the first few days go. He may end up in the 135 with the hoplos

Trial run of feeding went well. Was concerned at first. The cat ate every pellet that got to the substrate for the first 5 or 6 but then he parked himself under the log and the bichirs all ate.

I only have 1 pic of him and that was when he was in the bag. He's much better looking in the tank. I'll have to get some more pics

Also grabbed one of my del parked in some coffeefolia. Who says bichirs aren't plant friendly
