Wolves eat elk in deer,because they eat these creatures,in areas where wolves exist young saplings can grow without to many elk and deer eating them, this also increases ideal food abundance per remaining deer and elk,which in bucks and bulls promotes better antler growth.
Beavers build dams which filter water as it flows thru increasing water quality for fish,they also provide structures for young fish,and holds more water during the dry seasons, the more open spaces create opportune areas for swallows to drink.
