Blue Gene Jack Dempsey Pair

Only 16 days after their last spawn and they are at it again.
I only have taken one spawn from this particular pair. It is were my most recent electric blue grow outs have come from. They have not protected a spawn long enough to get to the free swimming stage. There are some loaches and a bristlenose in there tank. They have moved wrigglers into a hole in the gravel, but they eventually loose interest in guarding it long enough for them to get to the free swimming stage. I am sure the other fish do some snacking when they quit guarding.
I put the electric blues in a different tank with the bottom and back painted flat black and lower lighting. It really brings out the color.

Absolutely stunning. Hope you can make some good profit from all the hard work you have put into these guys.
I actually have a difficult time moving these. Hard to make a profit.
I just bought this old 55 off of a guy for $50. It hade a good HOB filter, LED light, and two 150 watt heaters (one was brand new). The top cross brace was broken so I bent a piece of aluminum that slips over the top to brace it. It took a lot of cleaning. Then I sprayed the back, bottom, and sides flat black. I wanted to try it on a cheap tank because I eventually would like to do it on a bigger display tank. This was the test and it really makes them look good.
