It was pretty great. I was young and single. Not too many bills. 3 day weekend most weeks. What’s not to like? We made cranes. Manufacturers moved to NC from St. Paul MN.
Job ended when they sold out to competitors. They kept the 100+ year old company name and designs, and closed the facility. I miss the work.
We were 4 days on 2 days off. But did double shifts 3 or 4 out of our 4 day rotation. With the drive they were 18 or 19 hr days. Worst part was having to be in and on time after only getting a couple hrs sleep 3 or 4 days in a row. The money wasnt worth it when your missimg everything
