Yeah, I know they’re kind of basic, but u gotta start somewhere??‍♂️(Talking about me starting)
Im not sure where you're located, shipping might ruin the whole situation but even the bigger ones I can get wouldnt cost more than $15... if youre ever in norcal or feel like buying enough to make shipping worth it let me know

Yeah, I’m located in PA, but I’m really tight with the people at the petco near me.(they’re actually quality workers, some aren’t) I can always ask them for help

I also forgot to mention, my masked julies are breeding like hell? they’re to small currently probably In like 2-3 more months they’ll be a nice size maybe even less

High Quality pseudacanthicus (the stuff that usually goes to Asia) I see a lot of low quality L25s out there and want some that are higher end
Hypancistrus specieS
Larger cichla
Wild adult gibberosa moba, kitumba, etc - I’m not seeing the adult colonies brought In that I did 10 years ago - lot of mid sized stuff with no trailers

Would have said rays but your in California so not an option for you.

I live about a million miles away from California but here are some suggestions from my own complaints:

1. Communication is key. Your phone number and email should be always available- best to start a business email. No matter what, always respond to the customer.
2. Try and have a good quarantine process, always hold fish before selling for at least a week. Embrace local breeders.
3. Try and make sure the shop is as clean as possible if it is a lfs. If it is online, make sure to try and take good pictures of fish you are selling and not google ones. No dead fish and good looking aquariums are what attracts most people. Try and have info for every fish and price on the aquarium itself. Also, have some dry food. Friendly employees.

Dunno what fish people like in California, but have some guppies, bristlenose cories, tetras and barbs in stock as well!

Good luck, already looks you are starting a shop with good goals in mind!
