Grey bichirs in community tank

not for life though right what will you upgrade to depending on the size their are some grey bichir alternatives
We will be upgrading when we move and i would love to hear of some alternative for grey bichir's
some of the lower jaw bichirs like endlicheri or lapredia get huge the wild caught ones can hit 30+ inchs 
they pretty much get along with everthing so they would be fine with a aro and in my opinion look cooler than the grey bichirs
ive been wanting bichirs for a while because they look so cool but i do also have parrot cichlids with the aro would it still work out
