Flagtails are pretty good at sucking algea without the worry of scratching acrylic
got one, its too small... hes in a growout...

my favorite LFS guy where i spend all my money on horrifically over priced fish - “ they will be fine” me- “it looks pretty small”

its only 5” was fine with the smaller bass, the larger wanted him in his belly ?

holding strong....

added a 1/4” power controlled on/off valve from autotopoff.com

and this flow meter - seems i can flow 1gallon per 4 minutes.... or 360 gallons a day... i’m not doing that... running 75gallons per day or roughly 10% - nitrates humming around 5ppm.

sump is really performing!

still need to organize a wall for modules and put a T into sewer for gravel vacs.

changed : water filter to one of these 10” - “carbon block” filters - getting .4 gpm vs .25 out of the amazon filter

added : 2 fx 4 for chemical media (chemi pure blue) / carbon - like this so i can turn them off to add meds....

600gph power head for current and bubbles in sump - i like bubbles ? also to keep the detritus in filter pad vs bottom of sump -

7watt air pump (not enough) for air stone (4”) running in tank for bubbles and keep poo out of back mopani area

overflow sensor - turns on when water reaches float - still need a pump for it....

pothos - not sure what’s going on with it....

need to add / do -

another 2 drains (one for sump overflow / one for water changes)

UV

bout it-

think i’m up to moving around 18000 gph here ?

Cheers!

After having my large tank there are two big points I regret not doing but will be fixing shortly.
1) Get drip trays into your stand. If you have any leaks it’s going to be a pain to clean. I’m building custom trays to go into each section of the stand and will be adding flood sensors.
2) Clean up the wires. I said I would do it and 3 years later it’s still not done. If I have a major leak it’s going to be a disaster. My plan for this is actually to purchase the Neptune ApexEL. I will wall mount it and it will let me cut down on wires. All wires will be off the ground.

i’ve got two leak sensors - an audible and networked one - i need to add one more of each...

wires - i need a board too - this is still kind of the rough in - still adding components and plumbing bits.... constantly evolving ?

added this mediocre camera for piece of mind... so i can see if my sumps running dry/over

Cheers all!
