Beautiful!Just a small update, becoming extremely aggressive towards everyone. Bichirs, peacocks, loaches plecos etc
Bad pic but his black line sort of came out of nowhere from his earlier photos. Sign of maturation or aggression?

I thought these guys weren’t supposed to be that bad? Still a pike I suppose...So the pike has gotten real bad, all the other fish have physical damage whether it’s split fins or missing scales, saw him straight up grab a loach by it’s face for swimming by him the other day. He’s been separated in a 40 till I can figure this out
I just doubled his tank size from 125 to a 220, and the aggression didn’t start till 2 weeks into the new tankPikes are gonna pike. Even the dwarf pikes can be real a-holes. You need a bigger tank if you want to keep him with other fish.
New space probably gave him confidence.I just doubled his tank size from 125 to a 220, and the aggression didn’t start till 2 weeks into the new tank
I was hoping the large Ocell could start to challenge him but he’s even at the top of the water now ?New space probably gave him confidence.
72x24, wanted the 8 foot layout but I got a good deal on a new tank, height is sort of pointless IMO.125 to 220 is a nice upgrade. It it the standard 72"x24" footprint 220? or something different?
