That’s what I’m planning on but I also want to pair her up someday and potentially breed in the futureYour flowerhorn is turning out nicely. I would just stick with this fish and focus on providing it with the best care you can give.

Thought flowerhorns could be kept in a bare minimum of 40. Just what I’ve heard but think the bare minimum should be 75 but if housed alone with minimal decor then a 55 should be okay for life. Just what I’ve always heard about flowerhornsJust remember a 55 won’t be good enough for him for life. Same with your red devil.
Definitely not a 40. I saw a full grown fh today. I would’ve taken pics but he had like 5 diseases and looked ?. Trust me I wouldn’t have put him in a 55 personally.Thought flowerhorns could be kept in a bare minimum of 40. Biggest flowerhorn I’ve seen in my area is was about 9 inches and a couple years old. Not sure how big mine will get but based on flowerhorn I’ve seen in the area I’m counting on him to not grow as large.Definitely not a 40. I saw a full grown fh today. With proper care they can get bigger. And if you want to have him to his whole life span…. You’re gonna need at least a 75 maybe 100 or 125. For a happier l, healthier fh. I know but not sure I’ll actually be able to provide him with a 75 or 100+ until I get my own job and place to put the tanks. But at least I have a 40 soon to be 55 for him to live in. I know that a flowerhorn can live in a 55 for life but it’s not ideal. I know someday he’ll have his own 75+ But not sure when in the future it’ll beWith proper care they can get bigger. Didn’t mean based on thought. Meant what he thinks about the entire subject of flowerhorn tanks. Also does anyone want to see a feeding video tonight. Last night when I fed her she only ate pink flakes and ignored every other one lol. Also might give her some blood worms tonight as a weekly treatTank size should be based off what the fish needs not what you THINK it needs. Minumum for a Fh is 48x18 footprint and 72x18 for a RD
