Something I noticed about feeding oily fish like sea bass, it forms a layer of gunk so thick on my coarse filter that no other dirt can go through it...
The rest of my filter becomes much cleaner but it also means I have to wash that coarse filter weekly without fail

just an update, over these few months, i have been feeding more massivore pellets (got them at a discount 3kg for $110 as they are near expiry) than frozen food (yellowtail scad). i noticed an increase in growth for the rays (not sure if is placebo or coincidental) and during this time my male BD ray has matured (about 1 month ago). Also noticed bite marks on 1 of the female BD.
In the tank now is 1M2F BD ray and 1F pearl ray. All others have been sold off and may sell the female pearl ray too.
On a side note, my helper loves the yellowtail scad more than my rays and she is eating more of it than the rays.. lol
