Elopichthys Bambusa - Yellow Cheek Carp

Ever since seeing this thread I’ve been reading all about these things. Where did you get yours? How predatory are they? Are there any other large exotic carp-like fish that can survive cold water? One or even a group of these would be awesome in my irrigation pond. Was wanting to put gator gar in it but it seems I may have more options than I thought.

Thanks Wes for the shoal of Bambusas. They arrived larger than I thought they would be but once in the outside pond, I can't find them..haha. We'll see how they turn out in the pond. They do swim as a shoal and come near the surface. Arrived well packed and very healthy.

Definitely not aggressive. Not sure where you are located but look into mahseers or golden putitora.

I’m located in the South East US, gets around 40 in the winter when it comes to temps in the pond, would this be good?
