Longer video about him.

Congratulations on your AUL! What an amazing addition and certainly a once-in-a-lifetime fish. He looks like he has plenty of spunk too! I like it when he turns around and starts chomping on the food. Wishing you many happy decades with him. Looking forwards to updates. :)

P.S. I really liked hearing the audio facts. Had no idea about them being endangered in Australia. It's neat that he is CB and microchipped just like a puppy. Thanks for the shout-out to Coelacanths.

Thanks everybody this one came from the same seller Lone star aquatics who now has them for $1,700. I preordered right when it looked like it was for sure happening and paid $1,500 for him. I think they'll come down some in the next few years but I don't think they'll drop below $1,000 anytime soon.

Hello
Have a Lungfish question hoping someone can assist me with. Have the opportunity to purchase a Australian Lungfish….. those don’t come around to often. But the only tank I have available currently holds my FRT. I know the African Lungfish are just killers and should be kept solo.
Wondering how an Australian Lungfish and a FRT would do together??! They would be in a 125 gallon for now….. FRT is 4- 5 inches the Lungfish is 7 - 8 inches. As they get bigger would move them into my 300. FRT doesn’t bother any fish bigger than him. Wasn’t sure if the Lungfish would try to take a bite out of the Turtle. Love my FRT and don’t want to put him at risk

Public aquariums regularly do it in 1000+ gallons, but there is no way I would risk it with mine. The lungfish will totally ignore the turtle but he’s an easy target. I’ve seen fly rivers eating arowanas before which would be much harder to catch then a big fleshy lungfish.
