More pics, sorry for the spam ?

i kinda do care about the looks, so i dont think I would be putting fish bags up there. My father likes the house neat looking

one thing some of the experts of polypterus keepers told me in Singapore; PBBS have a white line around the bottom part of their bodies, lapardeis dont. That’s how they tell them apart…

None of the other bichirs care about the delhezi even being 3x it’s size. Did I just strike lucky? The delhezi is the size of the head of the LJ bichirs. I see a reasonable amount of threads these past 2 weeks about compatibility between different sized bichirs.

fed some feeder tiger barbs yesterday cause I think they contain less thaimese than goldfish, I notice that congicus actually swim (to the top of the tank as well) and hunt for the fish, whereas the ansorgiI, endli and lapardei just wait and ambush when they come near.

I think in general most of the time bichirs of different sizes do get along, more often then not anyway. But there is always that chance if it fits in their mouth it's gonna get eaten.

Doesn't seem like you're to broken up by that. We knew it was likely going to happen.
Mhm. I was already anticipating for it when I got the congicus which was 20” since last year. Lucky it survived even up till now.

Expensive noodles for him!
not really expensive since I grew it out from 1-2”, but it was my 2nd ever predatory fish I kept so it did hold some memories to it.
Pic was from when it was in a 55g

The largest ansorgii did the famous bichir “death roll” while fighting another ansorgii for a chunk of prawn. I never knew that they were capable of it, I thought only very few bichirs had the instinct of doing it.
I’ll throw in a large piece of fish fillet tmrw, and see whether I can catch it on camera ?

All of them probably do the death roll. I've seen my Senegals do it ?
