where is the water? Croc looks super healthy per the usual. Excellent photo. Did you get a new camera or new tank light?
lol, recently changed water… did shoot that in a wide mode on phone. Not a normal setting I use but seems very crisp and clear, may need to try some more shots that way. Thanks for the compliments.
As to Croc, been feeding him much less lately. Ive been trying to keep him lean like most wild caught polys look. He would eat every day if I let him. Probably only feed every 3-4 days. Seems to keep him more active too.
I noticed WC are much fatter too, I had a captive and WC endi and the CB looked like a short body compared to the WC
My endli and ansorgii are both WC. Both have that sleek, elongated look about them. Love that about the wild polys
Wilds can get thick and keep that "lean" look. I guess they distribute their fat better compared to captive bred.
It’s also genetics. Both of my wild endlicheri are “lean”. Both are about same length, but one is clearly wider. Height wise they aren’t plump or anything. Don’t really have a belly. I feed them 2x a week. Just pellets.
Freshly caught wild bichirs are actually very thick. It’s just most of them are starved for several weeks to months before they are shipped out. Then some of those will sit at the fish store with minimal food for another few weeks.
