Green terror looks great. Looks male to me. Slender body and all those markings on the dorsal fins. He will definitely be the show stopper in that tank as it matures.

I am now down to 3 Giant Danios instead of 4 as of this AM...he's nowhere to be found. I believe in the Oscar's belly. I knew this could eventually happen....his mouth is probably nickel/quarter sized when fully open now and he's around 6 inches or so.:duh:

Couldn't get the best picture today, but finally got one where you can see his fins starting to trail off and continue rearward. I'm 100% male now. He's literally changing daily at this point! 1.jpg

Definitely male. Nice to see them grow and get their coloration. Love that.
When I picked him, he was the smallest in the tank at the store by a good bit. Maybe 1.5" long at most so I obviously had no idea. But......he had the best colors at that time out of any other GT in the tank so I went for it!

Alright.....well now I am down to 2 Giant Danios. That's one a night for the last two nights that has been eaten.....I guess he got a taste for blood now. I may move the other 2 before they get eaten lol. I thought these were large enough to stay safe, but apparently not!

What're some dithers I may have more luck with?!

Some tall bodied tetras might work, at least for now. Sorry about your Danios, but...

Oscars have big mouths and they know how to use them! At full adult size my Brick could hold a baseball when his mouth was extended. He also intimidated other fish by showing them that mouth. So whatever you do

NO worm shaped fish
NO elongated fish

He must have ambushed them at night or something. No way he'd catch them in the open.

Yeah I know, cray - no way I thought he'd ever catch them. At night they all huddle up at the surface too. The GT may be large enough to eat the smaller ones but I have never seem him show any interest even in chasing them yet. The Oscar's mouth is massive already lol, you're right about that!
