I got this trio of gulpers, presently at ~7", from Raymond Chan in Aug-Sept 2015 at about 3", maybe even 4". They have been very easy for me, easy to feed. They have been growing excruciatingly slowly, tacking on ~3.5" in 16 months.

Has anyone ever grown theirs to their known max of 1' Standard Length or ~14"+ total length? I wonder ow long that could take...

Can see them here in Mar-Apr 2016:

They never seem to hit 14 ,they can be kept with small shrimp(such as black cherry shrimp),guppiesand any small fish they won't bump into(2 inches or less)

June 14, 2017 update. The trio has done well for months alone and also for months cohabing with the nightmarish fish - purple labeo. It didn't bother them much though, thanks goodness.

Can't say I note growth.

Recently they had to go into another 240 gal tank with a bunch of tank mates due to reshuffling. A bit risky but will see how this develops:

What's the catfish/ butterflyfish looking thing? Looks cool

I see no fish in there resembling either a f/w or marine butterflyfish. Sorry. You have to be more specific.

The fish that's in the second video that is at the top of the tank. To me it looks like a catfish with butterflyfish wings. 1:10 mark

Do you have a vid of a tour of your entire fish room? From what I can see it looks amazing!
