Tank refurbish and DIY 3D background with a sand fall

This tank has come a long way. I got it for free so I resealed it and started on making my 3D background. I carved it out of foam and covered it in foam coat then paint and finally clear epoxy. Here are some pics of along the way. I will start with the end product and work back. How have you shaped the rock relief sculpture? With the torch?
