I have a cycled 10 gallon tank that just became free to stock. I was thinking of trying to find a dwarf chiclid that I could keep in the tank without having to upgrade.

Ideas I've come up with-
Apitso
Multi's
Rams

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

Back in 2012, I had good luck keeping a pair of GBR's in a planted 10G. They flourished in the tank and bred regularly. Their only tankmate was a small Clown Pleco. I still have a picture of the tank below (no longer set up).

Apistos are about the only New World cichlid that would fit the bill, in my opinion. There may be some of the more rare dwarf species (dicrossus, telocichla, taeniacara) that might fit, but I don't have any experience keeping them. Shellies are another option (of with multis are on species).

Cool.
A TSN pair :)
woah. Could I get a trio and try to breed them?

Thanks. I'm thinking about waiting for a while and watching tangled up in chiclids.
