I’ve been giving it a month or two and my two datnoids seem to just constantly stress each other out. So, I’m looking to trade my smaller IT off to a new, good home. I’d also consider selling him for the right price but currently I’m leaning more towards a trade.
My dat is a light yellow/tan base “Sumatran” between 11.5” and 12.5”. Even when stressed and unstable during transport his color has never darkened. He eats cut shrimp and pellets and is well mannered/does not pick on other fish. He also doesn’t have any damage from the other, bigger, Indo. The two actually spend some time together. their presence seems to just really stress each other out when they get closer and the larger dat does tend to dominate my smaller one. I got him around 2 months ago and the first day in my tank he was eating and stabilized, this is a very hardy and solid datnoid that shouldn’t have any issues in other tanks with other medium to large placid to mildly aggressive fish.
things I am looking to trade for:
- Peacock bass over 9” (maybe two depending on the size and species)
- Firewood Catfish
- Jardini over 9”
- NGT Datnoid over 10”
- African Scats
- Other Oddball Predators
- aquariums and filters
If you feel like you have something that you’d consider to be a serious fair trade, or want to make a cash offer, feel free to text me at

If you lowball me you’re just going to waste your time and get your hopes up so that’s completely up to you.
No, I do not want the arapaima that you’ve been trying to sell since it outgrew your tank 3 months ago.
look forward to hearing from serious buyers/traders. Can possibly meet up but no guarantees
