relax I had suggested that he feed the turtles in a separate container it literally makes everything 20x cleaner after u see the waste in the exterior buckets after every feeding. Then we got sidetracked on turtles.

I am relaxed and wasn't speaking to you. I was talking to the kid I quoted... I keep opening this thread thinking my buddy needs a hand or something I can loan to help him ect.. only to find this guy rambling about things he can use the search button for..

Back on topic, tank is looking good J. Any more progress or pics? You need some drift wood, I have plenty?

Hello all!

I'm not gonna comment on the side talk... just gonna post some progress pics.

Picked up 3 large clown loaches from a LFS for a great price, then used some store credit from the small pet shop down the street to "rescue" their one medium sized clown. He was in a tank with angelfish, with only a rock to hide behind. I don't know how long he had been like that, but he's a cute little guy.

I'd say the largest clown is maybe a bit over 6"
The small guy is about 4" but a lot smaller, as clowns grow a lot in width as they age.

Three large clowns together

One large clown

The little guy getting acclimated

Little guy and big guy eating, for size reference

More

BONUS night shot, heheh

If you click the pictures, the ratio is better.

Cheers!

And yes, JK, thanks, I'd love some. Let's meet up soon, maybe tomorrow?
CL's are looking good J... PM "tdKee1" he is in Salem and has some large CL's that he is selling and is a great guy, I've known him a long time. If you make it out to my place today I have a natural rock cave that's PH inert and PERFECT for your CL's to hide in. You can still see them since the front is open. Come on out and it's yours. You have to get it out of the tank though, I can't get up there. C ya

Looks nice.
I was worried by the first pic that this was one of those threads where an Arowana eats a cat.

UPDATE:

So, the tank was fully cycled in about 5 days, thanks to Seachem Stability and a seeded sponge filter from JK47.

HUGE THANKS TO HIM, gotta love MFKers helping each other out!

Adding fish is on hold, as I believe one of my loaches may have a parasite, and since 3 out of the 4 came from the same store, I think I am just going to treat all of them.

I got some great pieces of wood at a local river, so I am in the process of treating them before they get added to the tank.

Expect a major update in the next week or two.

Your welcome bro! We scored with those Gnathonemus Petersii, I've never seen them in our area at that size for sale, they're huge. You got a smokin deal too... I couldn't believe that guy gave me a genex pump!! Now we just need to get you an SA cichlid or two. ;)

I have no clue how we are going to cut that wood?? It needs cuts too long for my chop saw. I think we're gunna have to go the hand tool rote unless anyone has a different idea?
