to treat ick? so 150 teaspoons for a 75g. i know thats what i read but it just seems high. do you guys add it all at once or gradually?

dissolve some in hot water and slowly drip into the tank. do more than one batch if you have to, actually even if you can do it in 1 spread it out. the slower the better.

it's a tablespoon per 5 gallons i think... but idrk

^^ i'm reading 1 tblspoon per five gallons which is 45 teaspoons and i'm reading 2 teaspoons per gallon which is 150. big difference. can anyone clarify?

I've looked into this for some hours, I am interested in finding out if it's a good idea to run salt in ALL WC.. What I have found is

1ts / 5gal

I introduced marine salt that i have On Hand for my marine system, but stopped at about half of that concentration (1ts / 10gal). The aro seemed to heal up from WC scars quicker, but the CK was pisssed. He gulps mouth fulls of air from the surface regularly, and violentlynow so I am goint to discontinue adding more.

More Opinions out there?

you mean teaspoon (ts) or tablespoon (Ts or tbs)

teaspoons, sry for the confusion.

for ick
Change water, siphon gravel
1 Tablespoon of Aquarium Salt per each 5 gallons of aquarium water.
raise temp to 82-84 f

What type of fish are you treating some handle salt treatments well others don't?

oscar, bgk, pictus, l330 pleco and baby dollars. the dollars brought it into my tank. no surprise. i know the pictus can be sensitive to salt but i would be more concerned using a med with my bgk.

Dissolve salt before adding. Dose at a tablespoon per 5g. Why buy aquarium salt when you can have table salt?;)
