While I was killing some boredom tonight, I went to a fish store that usually disappoints with its stock. I went to the back and they had a 210 in the back for a fair price for the KC area (no socal prices here:irked:) I looked it over and it looked in good shape for being 2 to 3 years old. The tanks seals are still intact. However, along the bottom plastic bands that holds the tank glass together there is a crack in it bottom right hand side. Does that make the tank structural weak in anyway or is it purely aesthetic. The tank dimensions are as follows 7'x2'x2'

Any input well be great thanks:headbang2

I gave $600 for 210 tank & stand about 1yr ago. I don't know if the cracked frame can be fixed or even matters. gl w/finding out

I have the same tank and I also have a crack on the bottom frame. I siliconed the frame to the glass. The tank just sits on the frame, so as long as it doesnt come apart, the tanks structural integrity is not compromised.

I would have to agree, i have a 210 oceanic that is a monster, thick glass and all it has several chips on the back edges and with in a year it has survived 3 different moves, one being in a uhaul tralier from chicago to ky when I bought it and two more times in a uhaul for about 20 miles. I say if its a good deal buy it, fyi I paid $550 for mine tank stand and glass tops + it was reef ready.

Agree should be fine..

Should be fine. I paid $700 - tank RR (drilled), trickle filter, pump, glass tops, oak stand, oak canopy. I bought it used of course.

Shot without the canopy b/c it is a PITA when feeding the fish!

tank125, how many braces does yours have on top? or should I say how may seperate glass tops are there? I see you have the same problem I do, getting a light long enough to cover the hole tank...lol I use a 48" and a 30" lol but hey it works. ps sorry for the thread hijack.

its got one big centre brace.
i have the same tank but taller.
and it should come with two 38" lights.
