little update
The front window is in!


The silicone-ing went well I think. Except that it took really long.
I made little foam spacers to keep the glass just off the tank itself. Then I squeezed silicone through a straw to fill up the space between the glass and tank.
A lesson learnt here is to NOT make the spacers more than an inch long. The spacer in this pic is about 2" long. Try as I might, I couldn't get the silicone to go all around it. Now there's a bigish air pocket
I don't think it'll be too much of a problem, as long as I let the silicone cure WELL before doing a test fill. So... Test fill is scheduled for next Thursday.

Just paint it. More stuff involved, but thats the same colour on my 35G tank stand.
