Debating to build a monster tank with single side display by 4ft x 8ft or similar sized glass. Questions:
- It would have to be tempered glass, right?
- What would be the ideal thickness? 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", or 1"? Assuming the water height would be 36" to 42".
- Cost?
- Would silicon be the sealant? I am assuming water pressure will push the glass to the ledge or enclosure.
- I am thinking to convert part of a drive garage, it's about 3ft under grade with driving that drop from road level into the garage. So I have do it right, I could have a pond with part of that pond extend into indoor being that aquarium. Currently thinking of build that concrete block wall.
- Also thinking of being a fancy goldfish pond/tank.
