Been getting bored with a lot of the stock in my 55 and kinda wanna change it up a bit.

Current stock:
4 roseline sharks (small 2ish inches)
3 cherry barbs
3 platies
2 corys
2 yo yo loaches
1 dojo loach
1 Upside down catfish
1 Raphael cat
1 sun catfish (grow out)
1 eb acara
1 pleco

Im getting rid of my dojo loach, cherry barbs and corys. Maybe my roselines, I was thinking more of a semi aggressive community tank, maybe tiger barbs? I want to add a few more sun cats to help with my 1 being so skittish and I was thinking a black ghost knife as a grow out too? Would any of these fish clash heads with my acara? Any suggestions would be great I'm not took keen on tiger barbs behavior, also maybe like a pearl gourami school would be cool, or just get a bunch of sun cats ( my store Sells them at an inch) and just sell then when their to big. Really just want something new

More sun cats would not necessarily make the other one more active, as they are nocturnal, and you could consider something like an angel fish or I personally like fire mouths if they have them in your area.

Are fire mouths community safe? Always thought they were semI aggressive? Not looking to have trouble with my acara cuz I'm not getting rid of her, and my sun cats acually do come out quite a lot it pretty cool, also added a small black ghost knife for a grow out today, he's somewhat active too, I'll be getting rid if fish this weekend tho

why do you have all those schooling fish not kept in schools? That might be part of the problem - they won't act naturally if you don't keep them in groups of 6 or more

Had more roselines but 2 died ( that's when I first got into hobby didn't know what i was doing)
The 3 platies are ones I kept from a group that was given to me, to add variety I added 3 cherry barbs to school with them which they do and the corys I had 5 but 3 died past 2 weeks can't figure out why. But ultimately I'm new to the hobby so still trying to figure it all out

Could I mix a few acara and fire mouths maybe?

My firemouths is all bark and no bite, but I have heard firemouths can be hit or miss when it comes to timoerment, so with the knife fish already in the tank I would probably scrap the firemouth.

Would a 5 inch bichir be a big threat to a 2 inch black ghost knife?

Maybe do like a mini monster kinda tank? I have a small zig zag eel I could move over maybe get a couple more but as for other fish I could only think of like tiger barbs or something
