Then put my styro (NOT PINK!!). To hold the styro to the abs pipe I made the styro holes bigger then filled the sides of the abs pipes with cement. center of abs is left empty.

Then I thought that if my abs pipe studs are taller it can help hold my additional syrofoam for 3D effect. So I added a coupling and extended my pipes. Then added my top-up styro.

Then after that did my carvings. I did still use silicone to glue the top-up styro, but its all cement between the abs pipe and styro. It will be too costly to use all silicone on this one. The inside of the pipe is just filed with paper to prevent the cement from filling up the pipe.

I'll be adding 2 more coatings to it with a bit of a darker tint and I also plan to brush it a bit with epoxy resin. I'll do that once I get my sides back ground done. But I can't do my sides with out putting my glass first. So I did that one first.

arl are you going cover the "Stone" in Bondo or and Epoxy?
It will really be nice to cover it with epoxy because you can keep the details of your rocks if you use epoxy. With epoxy you can almost apply it evenly an on all surface and does not have to be that thick. But the main concern with using epoxy on this is $$$$$$$$$ 1.5 gallon of epoxy cost me $95. And if I used epoxy on this monster it'll eat probably 5 gallons or more. It'll probably need 3 layers. And besides I am not really a good artist, or creative enough to ba able to carve really nice looking rock formations that is really worth retaining :D. My excuse to this is "Rocks comes in all shapes and sizes" so how can I go wrong, it might not look as beautiful but its not the wrong shape :naughty: .

I'll also be finishing that top rock formation once i get the sides done. It'll probably be 2 weeks before I can do anything on the tank since I don't really want to move it with out the goop totally dried. That glass is HEAVY!

I'll be using my epoxy on doing styro foam rocks that will go on the floor of the tank. I'll probably be working on those while waiting for the goop to dry. I am also going to be working on the back room putting walls and vapor barriers around it. I'll also be installing an exhaust fan in the room. This exhaust fan will be running on the summer and dehumidifier on winter.
