That is so cool, I love how the sand is so deep and I just love every aspect of it.

How much did the whole setup cost you?

Thanks

Well the tank i got supper cheap for $100 brand new they were trying to sell a stand and all sorts of stuff with it.

I built the stand from 2x4's and covered in 1/8" venner so that was cheap

Filter is a Fluval 404 i got for like $100, custum built PVC in and outs for the filter cause the origianl ones were week and she could pop them off the holders. Fluval surface skimmer (very helpful) just build a DIY coil Denitrator which helps on water changes.

Heat emmiting ceramic bulb with the porclen holder was like $50 but has a 5 years warnety. Deep dome brooder lamp with UV bulb gets replaced once a year.

Bought some plexiglass cut and heat bent it to what i needed an siliconed it in place. 100lb bag of sand.

Korlia 1 power head (wish i had gotten a bigger one but had never bough a broad flow powerhead like this before)

It's hard to put a price on this because it has evolved ove the last 3 years. I had a flat platform for her but then the eggs came so i need a sand area for her to lay in.

She is about 8" long now. I'm in the proccess of planning the last upgrad to a 180. That will come once I'm settled more as i just graduated college.

Cant find better words.

I really like the land portion of it. You should make some more and sell them. I bet they would do really well.

Thanks every one, I'm happy with the way has turned out. It's been like this for about 2 years. Works great for laying eggs and also the heat lamp heats up the sand for basking which is nice.

I would love to have a sort of aftermarket tank bussines but i think it would definatly have to start as a built to order thing as i have no idea the market for something like this.
