75 gallon SW filtration

Eventually I will be getting a sump but for now I have a marineland bio-wheel 400 and within the week I will order an AC 110... Should that and LR be good for filtration?
I was planning on stocking it with a volitan lionfish.

I run my 40B reef with 2 HOB filters - they get the job done, but a sump would be ideal. I don’t think you’ll have a problem with your filtration in the short term. If the lion is the only fish and you aren’t doing corals, that should make it easier. Just keep up on water changes, as scorpionfish are messy.
I also would not put a volitan in a 75 long term. Full grown they can easily hit 18 inches. IMO I wouldn’t do it in less than a 180. I would look for smaller species like fuzzy or zebra.
