I would like some ideas as to what to get in it. No snakes, but anything else would be great. Want something I can hang with, train, hold, and looks cool. Not too picky as long as I can afford it. So something I can probably buy locally for under a hundred bucks. Any Ideas?

chinese water dragon? prolly gunna end up wanting to upgrade... depending on your area maybe a uromastix? i heard they can be a little bitey.

id personally get a BTS. they dont neccessarily need a 75 gal but bigger is better. you could easily get one for less than 100 bucks. other wise they fit your description.

Ya, i would suggest a uromastyx or a Blue tounge skink. BTW every uro has there own personality and some like to be held and around people, others dont. BTW most are not bitey, if they are a kind of uro that REALLY dont like people they hiss and whack u with there tails.

interesting. all the ones at my local pet stores are very bitey and timid but when i checked out a breeder they were very laid back. any ways, i got bit by a big one and it hurt more than i was expecting lol, for a lizard that eats veggies.

what about a frilled dragon? they are a little more expensive and need all the UV lights but they are also very tame and it would do well in a 75 for a while.

G. major or the African Plated Lizard are also pretty cool and you can sometimes get CB's as well. I had about 18 of them in a very large outdoor enclosure and they become very "tame" and do not usually mind some handling. In all the years I had them I never had one get longer than a Blue Tongue and they are not as bulky. Also, they will eat anything which means a balanced diet is easy to provide. They are not flashy, but they are super cool as a "pet" lizard.

Red eyed croc skinks are awesome too and they are not expensive. You could probably keep a trio in a 75 gallon.

some you could keep for life:
leopard geckos
red eyed crocodile skink
skunk gecko
blue tongue skink
uromastix

you could get away with these for a while, but they'd need a bigger tank eventually:
chinese water dragon
frilled lizard
spiny tailed monitor (ackie monitor)
