adopted an azul or is it a hybrid?

Just freshly back from my trip and adopted this juvie azul from a friend. Do juvie azuls typically have spangles like this or is this a hybrid..?

Younger Azuls will have spangles how big is it

These are 3" azul notice the spanles. they will end up looseing there spangles as they grow. Back in the day when I had bass my azul lost his around 6".

Ahh I see I see, would have been pretty interesting if they kept them into adulthood. This one is under 5 inches so we'll see in a month or so. Thanks for chiming in.
