Advise needed for tankmate of GATF

I am getting a few 3" GATF (3~6 qty) and looking for afew tankmate to keep with so it will not be so stressful...any ideas? I am thinking of congo tetra...any advise

none imo. just them alone is enough trouble going for tankmates is asking for a holocaust.

I added big feeders with my last Armatus and Goliath (when they were 7" and under).

Keeps the Armatus used to dithers and at the same time grow out his food and treat for parasites...

Next thing yo know they are fat..

As for long time mates, try barbs, Pollys, pbass and Aros

i say 6 GATFs will keep each other company.
the key to less skittishness and stress is cover.
black background and sides and some driftwood and floating plants.

Thank but I already have 1...and their growth rate is way faster...

mine is only 3" in size.

at the moment even bigger feeder i dare not put in to stress it haha

trade the larger one in for a smaller one. The pic of this ATF doesn't look like a gatf. Mouth shape, tail shape and lateral lines.

Ya..still having a hard time ID it as it is very very small...

yea can't rely on color differences as much for smaller fish. but there's some things one can look for. ID'ing between gatf and others is easier.

gatfs; can see slight lateral lines but next to a vatf, the difference is apparent.

shape of mouth. gatfs are have blunter snouts, like a dog, while vatfs/batfs are more streamlined like a beak.

Tail of the younger gatfs are round where as vatf/batf to a point.

I can tell... as i seen alot but at 3" it not so sure...the shop also got sell 3" VATF which is different from this...

only the snouts that i feel might not be the rest seem like... for tail wise i seen small ones with point...
