Anyone have any experience with these? I've tried browsing the threads, but i can't find much information about them. I've been thinking of how to stock my 50g tank, and i think the plan so far is a senegal, a peacock eel, and some leaf fish. The only problem is I can't find enough information to be sure that they would be ok with a senegal and a peacock eel, they get big, but not too big from what i've read. It'd be really nice to hear from someone whose tried this combination, and anyone who might know how many i should add to the tank.
thanks

Reason why you can't find anything is that your looking up a fish that does not exist....Petsmart/Petco Label Ctenopoma acutirostre as African Leaf fish however looking up Leopard Bushfish or Leopard Ctenopoma will get you better results....I have one in my tank with my Sen, Endli, Delhezi, butterflys and Syno Featherfin

ive got one in a 95 with a 10 inch del, 12 inch cong, and another 13 incher, and two 7+ inch dats, 10 inch mono pb and more i forget but leopard is always out cruising stealing the basses food

I've got a ctenopoma as well with a 12" ornate, 9" retropinnis, 8"senegalus and it is fine, i raised him with the ornate when the ornate was only 5"
As long as it is big enough to not get eaten.
As far as true leaf fish such as Nandus nandus or the african leaffish: Polycentropsis abreviata. They don't grow larger enough quick enough and if your not careful your bichirs will have an expensive snack :) These leaffish are sweet though and the polycentropsis (i have 2) are killer, they change patterns and colours and look like a rockfish (Sebastes spp.)

good luck.

Huh? I guess there is such a thing as an African Leaf Fish "Shrug"

"Spotted Climbing Perch" is another common name for ctenopoma sp. They get up to 6" from what I've read. I have one around 3" in with a 5" ornate in a mixed community tank. Eventually I plan to move the ornate, but for now it works. I would think ctenopoma would do fine with a Senegal.

anyone know how many i should put in a 55 with a senegal and a peacock eel? I dont want to overstock, so i'd rather go under than push the envelope
