first 2 pics are of his bump, third is just a basic good photo of our guy! We have had our bichirs for almost a year now! they came to us from a family who had them in a 10 gallon (this albino senegal is tank mates with a violet dragon eel guby whos 12in) so they are obviously in a 30 gallon double filtered tank now and actually paired with 2 angel fish. Our diet currently is Bloodworms & bottom feeder pellets with squid (they are our first tank so we are open to recommendations food wise!!), noticed a few days ago our 8in senegal has a bump in his stomach area, he is our food hogger !! if he could snatch the whole blood worm himself he will ! we watch with pellets typically lets the other 3 eat a decent amount, could he still be overfed? or is this diet not okay with him anymore? like i said we are still learning! we are open to any recommendations or suggestions! when it comes to my animals i want them happy, healthy and living a good life!

I’d try feeding every other day. Hold off on bloodworms and the squid for now. See if that’s enough for the lump to go away. If not then consider adding some Epsom salt 3tbs per 5g and monitor. If not better then could be a growth of some kind. Update as it goes.
